Smart & Effective Protection

ParaZero offers a smart and effective solution to address the industry’s safety challenges by designing best-in-class autonomous drone safety systems to keep bystanders on ground below safe and protect the drone and payload from crashing.

The ASTM F3322-18 standard requires 45 successful aerial parachute deployments in the presence of a third party testing agency.  These tests, together with the standard’s other requirements, give operators and regulators the confidence required in the three performance pillars of a parachute system:

Deploy Parachute

Patented parachute deployment mechanism opens to full canopy in fractions of a second.

Sound Alarm

Audio buzzer is activated to warn bystanders to move out of harm’s way.

Solution Benefits

Autonomous Triggering

The SmartAir™ system identifies loss of control and autonomously triggers a series of safety measures including parachute deployment.

Manual triggering

The provided remote control allows for manual parachute triggering.

Ballistic Parachute Deployment Mechanism

Fast and effective parachute launcher for low altitude operations.

Independent Flight Termination System

The system cuts power to the rotors to prevent cord entanglement and reduce the risk of laceration injuries

Black Box

Collected flight data is stored and can be used for post-incident analysis.

Low Altitude Capabilities

SafeAir’s combination of auto-triggered safety measures and unmatched ballistic parachute technology enable safe emergency recovery at very low altitudes.

Reduced Insurance Cost

Protect people, property, and payload

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I now fly over people if my drone is equipped with the SafeAir system?

No matter how safe your aircraft is, we never advise users to fly over people, but if regulation permits flying over people, SafeAir greatly reduces the risk involved.

During parachute deployment, how do you stop the rotors?

ParaZero’s patented SmartAir system uses a Flight Termination System (FTS) that cuts power to the drone’s rotors.

Is there any indication that the system is ready to go before takeoff?

The SafeAir M200 Pro has a built-in self-check mechanism that alerts the user in case of malfunction prior to take-off.

How difficult is installation?

The SafeAir M200 Pro is designed to be easily integrated, with an approximate 15 minute setup time

Does the parachute system require power?

The SafeAir M200 Pro has an independent 4 hour rechargeable lithium ion battery.

Can the SafeAir M-200 Pro be repacked after deployment?

Yes, the SafeAir M200 Pro can be repacked by the operator.  For certified repacks to maintain ASTM compliance, the operator must ship the unit to ParaZero.  There is a $50 charge for certified repacks of the SafeAir M-200 Pro system.

Will a SafeAir system deployment result in zero damage upon ground impact?

The SafeAir recovery system is designed to greatly diminish the impact energy of your aircraft, significantly reducing the damage.   Over the course of many aerial deployment tests, the most common forms of damage upon ground impact were chipped/broken propellers and scratched landing gear.  However, the orientation of the falling craft does influence the results.
